James- It says that they're fed up with the current political system, and are desperate to believe in someone who isn't part of the establishment. In a way I get it. I was a Bernie Sanders supporter, and what the DNC did to him is shameful.

But they're hitching their wagons to something far worse, and simply can't admit it. Trump is a megalomaniac and a narcissist, who cares only about enhancing his own legacy.

Hourly vs Salary which is better?

what are the pros and cons of hourly or salary?.

It really depends on how many hours you're expected to work as a salaried employee.

A friend of mine at work was given a seasonal position as a supervisor, which is a salaried position. He was working 50 to 60 hours a week, doing essentially the same job. Anything over 40 is time and a half, plus an extra dollar an hour for weekends. Whatever he gained in hourly salary, he lost in overtime pay, and then some.

Watchtower view on hunting and fishing?

i grew up doing both.

while i was in the org, i didn't hear too much about fishing, but all of the co's frowned upon hunting.

their stance was jw's should not own a gun.

Many of the elders in the area I grew up were avid hunters. Some were so hardcore you knew they weren't going to be at Sunday meeting on the opening weekend of deer season.

One year the CO decided to schedule a special all day service day on opening weekend. It didn't sit well with a couple of brothers who had already been removed as elders by this same CO. They thought he was trying to test the brothers' loyalty. They called his bluff.

Their official policy is that it's up to each individual member. Unofficially, it's pointless, as only the coming new world can solve man's problems. Therefore, the brothers and sisters should donate to the worldwide preaching work instead.

currently there is a measles outbreak in the u.s. the outbreak is clustered into communities where parents choose not to get their children vaccinated.

Counting time

i may not have put this in the correct spot, but i do think it's scandalous the way time gets counted now.

i've seen a cart at the edge of our farmer's market, never anyone close enough to talk.

yesterday was a drizzly day and there were two carts set up, covered in plastic, "witnessing" on their own.
